What is your research focus?

I am currently working on an urban history of Charleston, South Carolina since the civil rights movement.

How has the Library helped you achieve your goals in this area?

Because I am working on relatively recent history, many of the Library's periodicals databases have been invaluable to me. Even 3000 miles from the city that I am researching, I am still able to access historical newspapers and magazines related to the places and people that I am studying.

What is your favorite Library memory?

About a decade ago, the Library foolishly let me perform with my accoustic guitar on a few Friday afternoons. That concert series seems to have been cancelled. Coincidence?
