Access Expanded for Chronicle of Higher Education

Sonoma State University recently upgraded its subscription to the Chronicle of Higher Education, providing unproxied access to the digital edition to anyone with a Sonoma State University email address. The Chronicle of Higher Education, published online every weekday, is a great resource for news, advice, and jobs for people in academe. The Chronicle's website features the complete contents of the latest issue; daily news and advice columns; thousands of current job listings; an archive of previously published content; vibrant discussion forums; and career-building tools such as online CV management, salary databases, and more. The University Library has purchased domain-level access to the Chronicle, so you can easily access it from any device. Simply create a free Chronicle account using your Sonoma State University email address. The current edition can be viewed in three ways — at no cost to the individual:
  1. Access the Chronicle using the Web browser of your smart phone or tablet device.
  2. Download the Chronicle’s iPad editions. Download the Chronicle’s iPad app.
  3. Get direct access to the Chronicle of Higher Education from any computer and location by logging in with your sonoma.edu email.
You can also receive free daily or weekly newsletters that highlight key CHE content. Contact Paula Hammett (hammett@sonoma.edu) at the University Library if you have any questions.
