Digital/Critical: The New Information Literacies

Are you teaching a 300- or 400-level class in the fall? Want to find ways to refresh your research assignments, engage your students, and introduce new critical thinking skills into your class? Apply to join the 2016 Digital/Critical cohort.

The Digital/Critical cohort is a group of faculty and librarians collaborating to transform traditional research papers into new, creative multimedia assignments. Students learn to think critically about using media to convey information and gain twenty-first-century digital skills. Past projects have included video case studies, digital policy briefings, data visualizations, and more.

  • Earn a stipend for attending four workshops (in Summer/Fall)
  • Refresh your curriculum in a research-focused or capstone course (upper division)
  • Team up with a librarian
  • Gain experience using multimedia tools
  • Create a digital literacy assignment to implement in Fall 2016

Check out the Digital/Critical guide for more details and application information. The deadline to apply is April 8! Don't hesitate—apply today to be part of this exciting project!
