December's New DVDs

Now that finals are over you have time to relax with a good movie. Check out this month's new additions to the Library's DVD Central collection. Chef, with Jon Favreau and Sophia Vergara, is the story of a chef who loses his restaurant and looks to renew his creative promise in a food truck. Jon Favreau trained with Roy Choi of the Kogi BBQ taco truck fame to make this movie as real as possible. If you've ever dreamed of running a food truck, check this movie out. How to Train Your Dragon 2: While Astrid, Snotlout and the rest of the gang are challenging each other to dragon races, Hiccup and Toothless journey through the skies, charting unmapped territories and exploring new worlds. When one of their adventures leads to the discovery of a secret ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace. Which Way Home: A feature documentary that follows unaccompanied child migrants on their journey through Mexico as they try to reach the United States. We follow children like Olga and Freddy, 9-year old Hondurans, who are trying to reach their parents in the U.S. Children like Jose, a 10-year old El Salvadoran, who has been abandoned by smugglers and ends up alone in a Mexican detention center, and Kevin, a streetwise 14-year-old Honduran, whose mother hopes that he will reach the U.S. We've also got lots of great new streaming media including A Brief History of Time, Charlie Chaplin's The Great Dictator, A Hard Day's Night, and Store Wars: When Wal-Mart Comes to Town.
