Finding History in Sonoma County

Don't miss the first annual Finding History in Sonoma County - A Day of Discovery on Sunday, May 21. Free and open to the public, it takes place at the historic DeTurk Round Barn on 919 Donahue St. in Santa Rosa from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Sonoma State’s Library will show samples of its Special Collections at the event. Bring your campus curiosity and your Seawolf pride to the DeTurk Round Barn to view hidden treasures from around the county.

The aim of Finding History in Sonoma County is to discover, celebrate, and promote the historical collections of dozens of Sonoma County libraries and archives. The day will feature presentations and book signings by local authors and historians, a tour of the historic West End neighborhood, and short workshops on preserving your personal photos, letters, and diaries. Come see the Model A Ford Club’s antique cars, and talk with people in period costume. Celebrate Sonoma County history with us!
