November is Picture Book Month

Picture Book Month is an international literacy initiative celebrating the art of picture books. When is the last time you checked out a picture book? Many of them are beautiful and engaging works of art! The University Library has a substantial picture book collection available for you to check out and share with the young readers in your life (or just to enjoy on your own!). Some of newest picture books include Separate is Never Equal: Sylvia Mendez & her Family's Fight for Desegretation by Duncan Tonatiuh, Maple by Lori Nichols, Hug Machine by Scott Campbell, and Tito Puente, Mambo King, a bilingual book by Monica Brown. Come into the Library and check out some of great picture books. And learn more about picture books and literacy at picturebookmonth.com.
