In our Regional Collection: The "Belle of Bodega Bay," Rose Gaffney (1895-1979), alongside fellow activists, worked to stop PG&E’s construction of a nuclear power plant proposed for Bodega Head.  The struggle against the plant became a template for grassroots environmental action from then on.
