Student Positions
The University Library offers registered students the opportunity to work part-time while attending classes at Sonoma State University. If you are interested in working in the library, you will need to fill out a Library Application for Student Employment. Unless a preference is stated, your application will be considered for all job openings within the various departments of the University Library.
Positions are frequently filled at the beginning of the Fall semester, but openings can occur throughout the year and during the summer. The number of jobs that are available varies each school year. As openings arise, library managers and department coordinators review the applications then arrange for interviews. Along with your job references and skills, the hours you are available to work are considered. If selected for interview, you will be informed of the type of position that is available, the job duties and pay rate. Pay is dependent upon experience and skill levels. The library is able to offer a variety of work shifts including nights and weekends. With training and when library job skills are refined, advancement is possible.
If you wish to earn money while working in a creative and rewarding learning environment, please apply today.
