An online version of our popular Library orientation workshop is now available. Eight super quick video tutorials will lead students through finding full-text articles, locating books & reserves, and more. “Live-Dance-Paint” Works by Ceija Stojka Romani (‘Gypsy’) Artist will be on exhibit from Aug 17, 2009 – Oct 30, 2009. Gallery talks, a Romani film series, and reception with Romani music are scheduled throughout the semester. Visit http://library.sonoma.edu/about/gallery.html. Ceija Stojka’s paintings depict her life as a traveling Romani woman before and after World War II, the trauma she and other Roma experienced in the Nazi concentration camps and the hope she has for future generations to overcome oppression. “Live-Dance-Paint” is the first showing of Stojka’s work in the United States.
Cambridge Histories Online
This new collection provides full text online access to the complete 250-plus volumes of Cambridge Histories reference series. It provides political, economic and social history, philosophy and literature of selected countries and subjects. Click on Databases from the Library’s homepage to access.
