Collections

The University Library strives to provide a broad and balanced collection of resources in support of the undergraduate and graduate curriculum. Our collection includes over 450,000 print books, 150,000 e-books, and 35,000 academic journals, magazines, and newspapers.  We have over 50,000 media items including physical and electronic audio and visual materials and maps, archives, data collections and primary resources in many different formats.

We belong to several library networks, including CSU+, that provide access to the collections of other libraries worldwide.

If you would like to suggest a purchase for the library's collection, use our purchase request form. While we cannot fill all requests, we appreciate purchase suggestions. We evaluate purchase suggestions based on both our budget, the university's curriculum, and our collection development policy. If you have any questions regarding the University Library’s collections or collection development policy, please contact Collection Development Librarian Laura Krier.
