Collections


The University Library strives to provide a broad and balanced collection of resources in support of the undergraduate and graduate curriculum. Our collections include books, periodicals, visual and audio materials, maps, archives, data collections, and primary resources in many different formats. We're also part of several library networks that provide access to the collections of other libraries worldwide.

OneSearch and CSU+

This summer the University Library, in partnership with all 23 CSU libraries, launches a new library system called OneSearch. OneSearch allows you to explore the resources of the 23 CSU libraries, including books, media, articles, and more in one simple search. This new discovery system brings all of our resources together for the first time in a seamless, user-friendly interface.

Native American Studies and SSU Library’s Special Collections

Among Sonoma State University Library’s many unique and diverse Special Collections are the John W. Hudson papers.

John W. Hudson (1857-1936) spent much of his working life as an ethnographer and collector, conducting extensive research among the Potter Valley Pomo Indians of Mendocino County, California.
