Off-Campus Library Access is Easy

To access articles, start by searching from the Library homepage, or pick an article database. If you're not sure what database you want to use, check out our Subject List of databases. If you're off campus, you'll be asked to authenticate with your Seawolf ID and password. This will sign you into all of SSU's online services, including your Library account and your Seawolf account. If you're on a public computer, don't forget to log out when you're done.

You can search for books, e-books, streaming media, and DVDs from the Library's catalog. All online resources are available when you're logged in.

If you've found an article on the web, you may see something asking you to pay for that article. As long as you're a Seawolf, you never have to pay for articles. Just search for the article on the Library website. If we don't have immediate access for you, we can get it for you using Interlibrary Loan, and you'll have the article within 24 hours. You can also request all kinds of books, even popular reading, through our Link+ service

You can even access resources from the Library via Google, using Google Scholar. When you're logged in to Google and you visit Google Scholar, you'll see a link at the top for Settings. In Settings there's an option for Library Links. Just Search for Sonoma State University and add it to your Google Scholar account. When you search in Google Scholar, you'll see Find it @ SSU links next to search results. As long as you're logged in with your Seawolf ID, these links will connect you to the article you want, or to interlibrary loan to make a request.

Getting articles, books, and media from the library is easy, no matter where you are or what time it is. All you need to access a world of information from the Library is your Seawolf ID.
