Computers

The University Library in the Jean and Charles Schulz Information Center provides a variety of computing resources to Sonoma State students, faculty, and staff. Please review our Computer Use Policy before using library computers.

Computer Workstations

The Library has 145 workstations (Macs and PCs) with internet access and a variety of software. Library computers require all current students, faculty, and staff to log in using their Seawolf IDs. If you don't have a Seawolf ID, temporary guest passes are available at the Information/Checkout Desk.

Laptops

Want to check out a laptop? We have laptops available for checkout from the Information/Checkout desk.

Accessible Workstations

The Library has two workstations equipped with assistive technology. Each workstation has speech recognition software, text-to-speech software, screen readers and magnification, adjustable-height tables, and large monitors.

Wireless Access

Wireless access is available in all public areas of the University Library for SSU students and employees. Access the wireless network using your Seawolf ID and password. If you don't have a Seawolf ID, you can register at the Information/Checkout Desk for a temporary login.

Media Viewing

Watch a DVD on the PCs in the Library. Headphones are available to check out from the Information/Checkout Desk on the 2nd floor. If you want to watch a DVD with a group, you can reserve the Media Viewing Room.

We also have DVD drives available for checkout from the Information/Checkout Desk. They are compatible with both Macs and PCs. Most CDs and DVDs will work, except for Blu-Ray discs.
