The exquisite photography of Aryan Chappell (Sonoma State University alumnus, 1992) is situated in the familiar artifacts of Northern Californian living, but has a numinous mystery that stirs contemplation and reflection. His photos evoke the emotional depths of the work of his mentors, including local photojournalist and instructor John LeBaron, but have their own unique qualities. In Aryan’s words, "These images before you represent a part of my collected experiences and impressions over the past thirty years. They reflect the outer world we share, yet speak about an inner landscape, the beauty of which I constantly strive to understand."
Sponsored by the University Library and made possible by The Jean and Charles Schulz Endowment.
