Get Help with Your Research
The library is THE place to go if you need help with your research project. Not only can we help you find articles and books to support your work, we can talk with you about your research topic or your research methods, help you brainstorm questions and keywords to search, or just give you a sounding board to talk about your project. There are many ways to connect with a librarian. Reach out today in whatever way works best for you.
(We support faculty research, too.)
If you prefer to get started on your own, check out our Research Guides. We have a guide for most subjects, which will point you to key databases and journals and give you some pointers for getting started.
SSU Research
Are you looking for research published by SSU faculty and students? You can search SSU research in OneSearch to find both print and online publications.
You can also check out ScholarWorks, the library's institutional repository. Learn more about ScholarWorks.
Researching the North Bay
Are you researching a topic related to the North Bay? Check out our Special and Regional Collections! We preserve and provide access to the social, cultural, and environmental history of the North Bay. Many of our collections have been digitized, and we are continually adding more digital collections.
If you can't find what you're interested in online, please contact our Special Collections Librarian, Hilary Smith. She can help connect you with the information you need, whether it's in our library or another local archive.
