What is your favorite book, eBook, DVD, or music score?
My favorite book is difficult to choose, as there are quite a few I could name. If I had to choose one to share with others, though, it would be one of the books from Douglas Adams' Dirk Gently series, probably the second in the series: The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul.
Why did you choose this item to share with the library?
I choose to share this book, or really the series, with the library because I think it is not only a very fun read but a well-written one too. This series is not very well known, partially because Adams' Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy series is much more popular, and partially because he died before he could finish the third book. I think more people should know about this series, especially if they want a good mystery and even better characters.
What is your major?
My major is Women and Gender Studies (WGS) with a Queer Studies minor.
What was the most memorable/useful thing about working in the library?
The most memorable thing about working in the library is definitely all the other people here, from Jack, Michael, and Flora to the other SAs.
What advice would you give to incoming SSU (e.g., freshman) students?
My advice for incoming students would have to be to become active on campus! I didn't join any clubs or do anything fun until it was too late, and I regret it.
What is next for you?
Next for me is a nice long gap year or two before hopefully going on to get my master’s in library science.
