Kassandra Morales

What is your favorite book, eBook, DVD, or music score?

My favorite DVD would be The Fault in Our Stars.  But the collection of children's books is probably my favorite because I wasn't read books when I was younger.

Why did you choose this item to share with the library?

I had to read 70 books this semester for a class, which allowed me to be a kid again.  It was like looking through the books as a future professional and as an adolescent.  Plus, checking out the academic books from the stacks helped me throughout my academic journey here at Sonoma State University.

What is your major?

English and Early Childhood Development.

What was the most memorable/useful thing about working in the library?

Pre-Covid when a lot more patrons would come into the library, especially during midterms or helping them during finals.  I enjoyed seeing so many other students from other classes, just talking to them, and helping them at the same time with any library questions.

What advice would you give to incoming SSU (e.g., freshman) students?

My advice would be to cherish every moment because my five years flew by super-fast and before you know it, you'll be out in the "real" world taking risks, trying new things, meeting new people, and putting yourself out there! (:

What is next for you?

What's next for me is creating a life that doesn't involve school and that can be traveling, having more me time, and working before coming back to school later down the line.
