Rare Books Collection
Background
The Rare Books Collection has developed since the 1960s and earned a dedicated space in the new Schulz Library Special Collections wing when the building opened in 2000. Development of the collection has depended in large part on gifts and on some standing orders for small press titles.
Collection
The collection includes thousands of rare and unique books on a variety of subjects, including poetry, world and regional history, science, environmental studies, and European and Asian art history, with a unique focus on small press titles, books as art, and early editions of American and English authors.
Access
The research material in the collection is available to view by appointment.
