SSU Research

Collecting, preserving, and making available the research and creative work produced by Sonoma State faculty, staff, and students is central to our mission. Whether you are looking for a way to include your research in our collection or are searching for work created by scholars at Sonoma State, we can help.

Searching for SSU Research

Use the SSU Research search in OneSearch to find research and creative work published by SSU faculty, staff, and students. This specialized search will search across print theses in the library, the contents of ScholarWorks, and faculty publications in the library's collections.

You can also search directly in ScholarWorks for digital, open access scholarship from across the CSU.

Master's Theses

The library keeps a copy of all Master's theses that are completed as an exit requirement for Master's degree programs. Prior to 2015, physical copies were submitted. After 2015, digital copies were submitted to ScholarWorks

You can use the SSU Research option in OneSearch to search theses, or browse the physical collection on the 3rd floor.

If you completed a Master's degree before 2015, and you'd like your thesis to be available online, let us know! We can digitize your thesis and add it to the open access ScholarWorks repository. Adding your thesis to the repository makes your work more widely available and makes it easier for you to share with others.

Your Recent Publications

Have you recently published a book or film that you'd like added to the library's collection? Contact the Collection Development Librarian with the details. We are always happy to add faculty, staff, and student publications to our collection. If you have an extra copy you'd like to donate, we would be happy to accept it.

Highlighting SSU Research

We love to highlight the research and creative projects of the university. Let's talk about how we can highlight your research. We could:

  • Host a reading or a lecture
  • Collaborate on a gallery exhibit
  • Create a display
  • Create a digital exhibit

Contact the Collection Development Librarian to talk about opportunities to bring your research into the library.
