Ernest Hemingway Letters
Background
Journalist Denne Petitclerc met Ernest Hemingway while Peticlerc was working as a reporter for a Miami, Florida newspaper. The two exchanged a series of letters in the late 1950s, and four of the letters written by Hemingway were donated to the Library in 1969 by Petitclerc. The letters, written from Europe and Cuba on hotel stationary, are replies to previous letters from Petitclerc.
Collection
The collection is made up of four letters written by Ernest Hemingway to local journalist Denne Petitclerc between 1956 and 1958.
