Background

The 1979 class at Windsor Junior High School, located in Windsor, California, took on a project to gather local oral histories. Longtime residents of the community were interviewed and tape recorded. Many of these interviews were transcribed and included in a booklet titled Windsor Project: Past & Present.

Collection

One box of 37 interviews on 50 cassette tapes, converted to CD. Most of the interviews are transcribed. Interviewees include Stanley Arata, Ethel Kerr Brooks and Kenneth Brooks, Lulu Butcher, Floyd and Marie Coakley, Don and Irene DuVander, Lee Dysart, Walter Eagan, Jerry Fletcher, George and Isabel Greeott, Mildred Grove, Edward Knecht, Anna Leslie, Vivian Keziah McDonald, Caroline Grannon and Karl Olsen, Josephine Relach, Emily Reiman and Gwen and Ben Ebersole, Robert Remolif, Dorothy Rix, Chester and Edna Robbins, Chet Robbins, George and Betty Silk, George Silva, Jack and Maude Stritzel, and Frank Werner.
