Community Members

Visitors who are not affiliated with Sonoma State University can join our Community Borrower program. The Community Borrower program is offered at two leves of membership.

  • A Community Borrower account allows you to borrow physical books and media for up to 90 days and place digital-only CSU+ requests for $10 per request.
  • A Community Borrower+ account allows you to borrow physical books and media for up to 90 days, and place digital-only CSU+ requests for free!

Both Community Borrower and Community Borrower+ accounts are valid for three months, and can be renewed.

The Community Borrower program does NOT include:

  • Borrowing physical items via CSU+
  • Access to lending laptops and other equipment
  • Remote access to electronic resources

You can sign up for a Community Borrower account online or come into the library to establish your account. If you sign up online, the membership fee will be added to your account, to be paid when you come to the library. The library accepts payment by credit or debit card only.

Cost

  • A Community Borrower account costs $10 for 3 months, with an additional charge of $10 per request for CSU+ digital-only requests.
  • A Community Borrower+ account costs $50 for 3 months, with NO additional charge for CSU+ digital-only requests.

SSU and CSU Alumni Association members, SRJC students and faculty, current California K-12 teachers, and retired staff can join the Community Borrower program at no cost!
