SSU Makerspace Policies

Access

Access to the SSU Makerspace and use of the equipment is free for Sonoma State University-affiliated students, staff, and faculty. Some material is provided for free, other material may need to be purchased or provided by the user. The Makerspace is available for use during posted hours. It may also be reserved for workshops, classes, or meetings by contacting Jonathan Smith jonathan.smith@sonoma.edu

Use Policy

By making use of this space, you agree to use it for lawful purposes that respect the policies of Sonoma State University and the University Library as well as the safety and well-being of all students, staff, faculty, and patrons. Failure to comply may result in suspension or loss of Makerspace privileges or removal from the building.

An overview of the Library Use Policy

Safety

Users are expected to conduct themselves in a safe and orderly manner at all times. The Makerspace has equipment and tools that when used improperly can result in injury. Users will comply with safety guidelines, attend training as appropriate, and obey the instructions of Makerspace employees.

Equipment

Report any problems with equipment immediately to a Makerspace worker.
